2009 Korean Kumdo Championship
Hosted by Han Rim Won and Mq Kumdo club

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am delighted to announce that the Korean Kumdo (Kendo) Championship will be held on the Saturday 25th April, 2009 (8.00 am to 6.00 pm) at the Macquarie University Sports Centre.

This annual event is organised by Han Rim Won DoJang (Dojo) and sponsored by the Korea Kumdo Association of Australia to develop a close relationship between Kumdo and Kendo clubs and sportsmen of Australia. The kumdo championship was started in year 1995 and has always been held between April and May each year until 2007. This year, we are excited to recommence the championship after an interval in 2008.

Please note that the date for the championship has been changed since the previous announcement. In consideration of the DHMDK tournament being scheduled to 9th May this year, we have rescheduled to allow for a longer interval between the two tournaments. This would hopefully cater to the convenience of kendo sportsmen travelling from outside Sydney, who have lent continuous support to both events over the years.

I would like to extend my personal invitation to your club and its members to join us at this event.

Please come and be part of the 2009 Korean Kumdo Championship, and to meet and practice with other passionate Kumdo/Kendo sportsmen.

I look forward to seeing your club and its members at the Championship.

Yours sincerely,
Sungki Lee
President
