Seminar for Mature Age Members of NSWKA

(1) Trial run for grading
This part of the program is limited to NSWKA and ANU Kendo Club members who are attempting Kendo Syodan to 4th dan at the forthcoming NSW Founders Cup this August.  Kata training (1 to 7 stages and 1 - 3 kodachi stages) will be held immediately after briefing.  This will be followed by trial run for grading.
At the trial-run, participants of similar age form a pair.  Each pair performs the tachiai for 90 seconds.  When the tachiai has completed, the players will be provided with brief comments on their performance on the spot.  Each applicant will be likely to perform the tachiai twice.
Please ensure the following:
- Each participant looks after his/her own fitness.  No group warming up is conducted;
- Equipment is neatly maintained;
- Attire is correctly presented; and
- Prepare your own tachi and kodachi.
NSWKA highly recommends that grading applicants participate in this part of the program.

(2) Seminar for Mature Age Members of NSWKA
This part of the program is designed for NSWKA members who are older than 40 years (or near).  The following topics will be covered:
- Posture;
- Ashisabaki;
- Opportunity setting; and
- Basic techniques.

Housekeeping
